Current local news affecting today's business traveler
In December 2015, the US government passed a bill that includes modifications on the eligibility requirements for nationals of countries participating in the Visa Waiver Program (VWP).
This change will most likely impact individuals who have in the last 5 years travelled to or are dual nationals of Iran, Iraq, Sudan or Syria. These travellers are no longer eligible to travel or be admitted to the United States under the VWP.
The changes took effect on 21 January 2016. As a result, travellers who currently have valid Electronic System for Travel Authorizations (ESTAs) and who visited or are dual nationals of one of the four countries listed above will, with few exceptions, have their current ESTAs revoked.
Please note that all travellers who do not meet the new requirements must apply for a conventional US visa.
